A Stockton man was taken into custody following an investigation into an altercation in the Town of Stockton late Saturday night. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene shortly before 11:45 PM and found that 35-year-old Zachary Kemp allegedly intentionally damaged and tampered with another person's property. Deputies also allege that Kemp was found in possession of a rifle at the time of his arrest. He was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment on charges of 4th-degree criminal mischief, 3rd-degree criminal tampering, and 4th-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
