A 16-year-old died after getting struck by a train Wednesday afternoon in the Village of Silver Creek. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office says it responded to the CSX Railroad tracks in the village shortly before 4:00 PM. The teenager that got hit was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Bay Creek Fire, Chautauqua County EMS and CSX personnel. The Sheriff's Office is not releasing the name of the victim due to their age.
