Westfield Academy and Central School went into a precautionary lockout Wednesday morning following a report of a disorderly person inside Westfield Memorial Hospital, located next to the school grounds. The announcement was made in a joint statement by the Westfield Police Department and WACS. Westfield Police, State Police, and Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies responded to the hospital at about 10:00 AM, with WACS activating its Shelter-in-Place, Hold-in-Place, Evacuate, Lockout, and Lockdown (SHELL) protocol. There was no direct threat to the school, and the situation at the hospital was resolved without further incident.
