A Forestville woman is facing several charges following an investigation for alleged conduct committed against a minor. Deputies with the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation around 1:00 AM Saturday and found that 36-year-old Chelsea Richter had allegedly engaged in conduct believed to be harmful to the welfare of a child. Deputies located Richter and attempted to take her into custody. She was arrested following a brief physical altercation and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, 2nd-degree unlawful dealing with a child, and resisting arrest. Following a search of person, Richter was found to be in possession of 0.7 gram of cocaine and 2.0 grams of methamphetamine, resulting in additional charges of 5th- and 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Richter was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. She will appear in the Town of Hanover court at a later date.
