Chautauqua County Executive P.J. Wendel will present his tentative 2027 budget one week from today. His presentation is themed "Putting Money Back in Your Wallet" and is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23rd at 6:30 PM during the County Legislature's monthly meeting in Mayville. During his address, Wendel will outline how the county plans to maintain and strengthen essential services while continuing to protect the county's financial position and responsibly manage taxpayer dollars. The Lakewood Republican also plans to highlight his administration's approach to managing mandated costs, like SNAP and safety net, maintaining essential services, and making strategic investments while continuing a record of fiscally conservative budgeting. He will also unveil key elements designed to provide greater financial relief for county taxpayers while positioning the county for "continued stability and growth."
