Collaborative Children's Solutions is bringing its viewers closer to Jamestown High School athletics with the launch of "Red & Green Game Day," a new live pregame program highlighting the people, traditions and excitement surrounding Red & Green football. The one-hour program will premiere on Friday, September 11th from 5:30-6:30 PM, live from Strider Field ahead of the JHS home matchup against Health Sciences.
CCS-TV President and CEO Patrick Smeraldo says, "Red & Green Game Day is about much more than football. We want to tell the stories of the students, coaches, families, alumni and fans who make Red & Green athletics such an important part of our community. This gives CCS-TV an opportunity to bring viewers into the stadium and experience that excitement with us."
Each episode will feature a mix of live coverage, interviews and features, including conversations, previews of the night's matchup, fan and student reactions, behind-the-scenes looks at gameday preparations, and stories celebrating the history of Jamestown High School athletics. The program will also look beyond the football field, highlighting other JHS athletic programs, student activities, the marching band, cheerleading and the school spirit that surrounds a Friday night at Strider Field.
Smeraldo adds, "CCS-TV has always been about giving students an opportunity to tell their own stories. With this program, students can interview their teammates, talk with coaches and fans, and help showcase what makes Jamestown High School special. We're excited to make this a true community production."
Because CCS-TV is unable to stream the football games themselves due to copyright restrictions, "Red & Green Game Day" will focus on everything surrounding kickoff, providing viewers with a look at the athletes, coaches, students and traditions they might otherwise miss.
Following the premiere, additional live editions are scheduled for Jamestown's home games against Niagara Falls on September 25th, Erie High School on October 16th, and Hutch-Tech on October 23rd. All programs will originate live from Strider Field.
