
Lakewood-Busti Police arrested a Jamestown man Thursday evening after he was allegedly found driving under the influence of marijuana and possessing cocaine. Officers pulled over a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Devven Fletcher because it was traveling on East Fairmount Avenue, near Wal-Mart, without its lights on at about 9:00 PM. They could smell burnt cannabis coming from inside the vehicle, and they also saw a half-smoked joint near the center console. Officers also spotted an open contained of alcohol, as well as a small vial and baggies later found to contain 3.61 grams of cocaine. Fletcher was taken into custody with assistance from State Police. He was held pending arraignment in Busti Town Court on charges of 4th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and having no/inadequate lights.
