The Chautauqua County Health Department has announced a series of upcoming free rabies vaccination clinics. These clinics are being done in partnership with the Town of Ripley, Chautauqua County Humane Society, Pet Pantry, and Lakeshore Humane Society. The dates and times of the clinics are as follows:
- Saturday, September 12th: Salvation Army, 83 South Main Street in Jamestown, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
- Thursday, September 17th: Town of Ripley Highway Barn, 50 Ross Street in Ripley, 5:00-7:00 PM
- Saturday, September 19th: Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 East Chestnut Street in Dunkirk, 9:00-11:00 AM
- Saturday, October 3rd: Salvation Army, 83 South Main Street in Jamestown, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
Dogs, cats and ferrets three months of age and older are eligible for a vaccination. Residents need to bring prior vaccination records to determine if their pet is eligible for a three-year booster. All dogs must be on a leash, while cats and ferrets must be in individual carriers.
