The backups for the Buffalo Bills shined for the second straight preseason game, leading the way to another victory. On Saturday, the Bills did not have much trouble against the Cleveland Browns, cruising to a 31-7 victory at Cleveland's Huntington Bank Field.
After a roughly hour-long weather delay, both teams scored touchdowns on their opening drives. The score remained 7-7 until late in the 2nd quarter, when Kyle Allen connected with Mecole Hardman on a 9-yard touchdown pass. Allen was an efficient 10-for-12 passing for 128 yards in the first half before giving way to third-string quarterback Shane Buechele, who led three Buffalo scoring drives in the second half. Tyler Bass connected on a 52-yard field goal to extend the Bills' lead to 17-7, then after a turnover, Ja'Mori Maclin caught a pass from Buechele and turned it into a 71-yard touchdown. In the 4th quarter, Buechele punctuated the win with a 5-yard touchdown run.
Following the victory, Bills head coach Joe Brady said he liked how his players took the weather delay in stride...

Buffalo's third and final preseason game will be under the lights at the new Highmark Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday at 7:00 PM.
