
A Jamestown man has been taken to the Chautauqua County Jail after he allegedly strangled someone during a domestic dispute early Friday. Jamestown Police responded to an address on the city's north side at about 2:15 AM and discovered that the alleged action by 27-year-old Justin Conklin caused the victim to lose consciousness and suffer physical injury. Officers add that he has a valid order of protection to stay away from the victim. Conklin was arraigned on charges of aggravated criminal contempt, 1st-degree criminal contempt, 2nd-degree strangulation and 2nd-degree assault. He is being held on $20,000 bail.
