
A Dunkirk resident has announced her candidacy for Chautauqua County Family Court Judge. Alexandria Moss made her announcement in a recent Facebook post. She is running on the Democratic and Working Families party lines.

Alexandria Moss is a longtime Chautauqua County resident, dedicated attorney, and committed advocate for children and families. She is proud to be running for Chautauqua County Family Court Judge, bringing more than a decade of experience in family law and a deep understanding of the challenges facing local families.
A 2007 graduate of Fredonia High School, Alexandria earned her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Fredonia in 2011 before attending Syracuse University College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor in 2014. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2015.
Since 2017, Alexandria has served as an Attorney for the Child, representing the interests of children in Family Court proceedings. Throughout her legal career, she has worked closely with families navigating difficult and often emotional circumstances, earning a reputation for integrity, compassion, professionalism, and a steadfast commitment to ensuring every child has a voice in the courtroom.
Alexandria believes that Family Court should be a place where every person is treated with fairness, dignity, and respect. Her extensive experience, dedication to the law, and firsthand knowledge of the needs of Chautauqua County families have prepared her to serve as a thoughtful, impartial, and compassionate judge.
Alexandria continues to call Dunkirk home, where she lives with her son, Owen. She is honored to seek the opportunity to serve the community that has shaped her life and values, and she is committed to providing fair, experienced, and compassionate leadership on the Family Court bench.
Moss is challenging incumbent Republican Michael Sullivan for his seat in the November election.
