Dunkirk Hosting 33rd Annual National Night Out on Tuesday

The City of Dunkirk is getting ready to host its 33rd annual celebration of National Night Out. The event, which helps foster positive relationships between the police and the community, will get underway Tuesday at 6:00 PM in Washington Park. Dunkirk Police Captain Doug Switzer, who was a guest on WDOE's "Viewpoint" program on Monday, says it's an opportunity for residents to interact with police officers in a positive setting...

Doug Switzer: a community event

Switzer says his department will have its vehicles on display for residents to check out. The same can be said for the city's Fire Department, according to City Fire Chief Nick Barter, who also appeared on "Viewpoint"...

Tuesday's event will also have free car seat inspections available. There will be food and drinks for everyone, and music will be provided by the Footsteps.
