The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office has charged two Cold Spring residents after finding suspected narcotics during a traffic stop in the town Thursday evening. Sheriff's deputies pulled over a vehicle on Lebanon Road occupied by 52-year-old Troy Bray and 55-year-old Karen Akers for a violation and later saw a quantity of suspected methamphetamine in plain view. Deputies say a vehicle search located more suspected meth and drug paraphernalia. Akers was charged with a felony count of 4th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, while Bray faces charges of 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and uninspected motor vehicle. Both suspects were released with appearance tickets for Cold Spring Town Court.
