New Historic Marker in Jamestown Recognizes Local Tool Company

The City of Jamestown has honored more of its manufacturing legacy with the unveiling of its 81st historic marker at the site of the former J.P. Danielson Tool Company. Rohlin says Danielson, and then Proto Tool, was recognized for its innovation, craftsmanship, and contributions that helped shape Jamestown's reputation as a center of American manufacturing. Proto Tool purchased the company in 1947.
