The Village of Fredonia's provisional Police Chief is now its permanent one. On Monday, village trustees approved the appointment of Greg Myers to the post after he successfully completed his Police Chief exam. Before the vote, Mayor Mike Ferguson told Myers, "Congratulations, Chief Myers, well deserved. You've been Chief all along...now it's official." Myers has been serving as the village's provisional Police Chief since the retirement of David Price in January.
