The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for most of Chautauqua County and southwestern Cattaraugus County until 5:00 PM. At 4:09 PM, radar indicated severe thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles southeast of Fredonia to near Long Point State Park to near North East, Pennsylvania, moving southeast at 45 MPH. Hazards include 60 MPH wind gusts and penny-size hail. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include Jamestown, Allegany State Park, Lakewood, Falconer, Mayville, Clymer, Long Point State Park, West Ellicott, Chautauqua Institution and Findley Lake. This includes I-86 between Exits 4 and 18.
