John Machemer, Chautauqua County's Deputy Director of Public Facilities for Airports, calls it "a fitting tribute to someone who has helped shape aviation in Chautauqua County for generations." Nalbone has trained generations of aviators, served as a chief flight instructor and chief pilot, helped grow the Dunkirk Aviation Flight School, and helped develop Jamestown Community College's Professional Pilot Degree Program.
