An investigation into a May shooting in the City of Dunkirk has led to felony charges against a 15-year-old. Dunkirk Police say they responded to a report of gunfire in the area of Lamphere Street and East 7th Street at about 11:30 PM on May 24th and learned that a juvenile victim was being treated at a local hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The juvenile suspect has been charged with 2nd-degree criminal possession of a weapon and 2nd-degree assault. Police say no further details about the investigation will be released because of the age of the individuals involved.
