Slow-Moving Showers May Cause Flash Flooding Across Southern Tier

The Southern Tier could see localized flash flooding in some locations on Monday. According to the National Weather Service's Weather Prediction Center, the area is under a marginal risk of excessive rainfall. The National Weather Service's Buffalo office says scattered showers during the morning will become more numerous from late morning through the afternoon, and some of the showers may be heavy and slow moving, producing locally heavy rainfall. Forecasters say the main risk for flooding will occur from early afternoon to early evening.
