Jamestown Police took a city man into custody after an investigation into a domestic dispute early Wednesday. Officers responded to a residence on the city's south side at about 12:30 AM and determined that 48-year-old Arthur Norene had allegedly assaulted a victim before forcibly restraining them. Police also found that the incident happened while a valid order of protection issued through Jamestown City Court was in effect. Norene was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment on charges of aggravated criminal contempt, 3rd-degree assault and 2nd-degree unlawful imprisonment.
