A Jamestown man with multiple bench warrants was taken into custody Saturday afternoon as a fugitive from justice. Jamestown Police pulled over a vehicle with a suspended registration on Washington Street shortly after 3:30 PM and identified the driver as 29-year-old Anthony Slaughter, Jr., who was found to have an active bench warrant out of the City of Jamestown and another bench warrant out of Warren County, Pennsylvania. Slaughter was taken to the Jamestown City Jail without incident. In addition to the fugitive from justice charge, he faces counts of 2nd-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and operating while registration suspended/revoked, in addition to his bench warrant.
