Dunkirk Police have charged a city man with a handful of counts stemming from a report of a fight last Thursday. Officers were called to the area of Lake Shore Drive East and Middle Road at about 1:30 PM and spoke with a female, who alleged that 21-year-old Dariel Ayala had shoved her and threw a beer bottle at her before fleeing the scene in her vehicle. Police found that there was an active order of protection between Ayala and the victim. Officers add that a second victim was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital for treatment after Ayala allegedly struck her with a beer bottle. He was taken into custody a short time later and charged with 2nd-degree criminal contempt, 2nd-degree harassment, 2nd-degree assault and 3rd-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Ayala is being held in the Chautauqua County Jail on $25,000 bail.
