A man from Dearborn, Michigan was taken into custody after he led police on a vehicle pursuit in the south county on Saturday. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies tried to pull a vehicle that committed several vehicle and traffic violations on Route 60 in the Town of Kiantone at about 9:00 AM, but the vehicle failed to comply with emergency lights and sirens. Deputies say the pursuit sped into the Town of Carroll and ended when the driver pulled the vehicle into the yard of a residence on West Main Street in Frewsburg and crashed into a parked vehicle. 20-year-old Al Hussein Albaneh was charged with 3rd-degree criminal mischief, unlawfully fleeing a police officer, reckless driving, and several vehicle and traffic violations. He was issued appearance tickets for Carroll Town Court and Kiantone Town Court. Sheriff's deputies were assisted by Carroll Town Police.
