Early Dismissal Monday for Several Local Schools Due to Heat and Humidity

Several schools in Chautauqua County will have early dismissal on Monday due to the increased heat and humidity in the weather forecast. They include the following:

• Cassadaga Valley Central School will have a half-day for all students district-wide.
• The Dunkirk City School District will dismiss its elementary students at 11:30 AM.
• Falconer Central School will move to half-days for Fenner and Temple schools and the Middle School on Monday and Tuesday. Fenner School and the Middle School will depart at 11:00 AM, and Temple School will depart at 12:00 PM.
• The Fredonia Central School District will adjust to a half-day for the elementary and Wheelock schools, with buses departing at 11:30 AM. The Middle School will remain on half-days for the entire week, as previously scheduled.
• Ripley Central School will implement an early dismissal at 11:30 AM on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Lunch will be served as planned, prior to dismissal.
