Governor Kathy Hochul's second-in-command will primary her next year. Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado announced in a social media video on Monday that he will run for Governor in 2026. Delgado was appointed to the Lieutenant Governor's post in May 2022 after Brian Benjamin resigned. He was later elected to a full term in November 2022.
