Canadian Wildfire Smoke Begins Drifting Over Western New York

You may notice some hazy skies across Western New York for the next couple of days. That's because smoke from Canadian wildfires has worked its way into the region and will be here through midweek. Meteorologist Dan Kelly with the National Weather Service in Buffalo says that unlike previous years, the smoke will be mainly aloft, and residents should not be able to smell the smoke...

Kelly adds that the smoke may cause the sun to have an apparent orange or red hue...

No air quality health advisories have been issued at this time because the concentration of surface-level smoke is low.
