Developers Targeting Mid-May Demolition of Former Silver Creek High School

A former school building in the north county that has been vacant for more than four decades is slated to be torn down later this month. That's according to Chautauqua County IDA CEO Mark Geise, who recently announced that the transfer of the ownership of the former Silver Creek High School building to Silver Creek Apartments, LLC is now complete. During last month's CCIDA Board of Directors meeting, Geise said that there was plenty of of "legal gymnastics" in the process...

The new apartment complex will contain 54 apartments for seniors ages 62 and older, including 15 units set aside for supportive housing. Geise tells WDOE News that a tentative demolition date for the former school building is slated for May 12th.
