The New York State DEC's new wetland regulations are already having an impact on the ability to buy and sell homes on Chautauqua Lake. That was seen at the most recent Lakewood Village Board meeting, where Trustee Ellen Barnes read a letter from Chautauqua Lake Property Owners Association (CLPOA) President Jim Wehrfritz, who is asking the village to be part of their lawsuit against the state.
