A Forestville woman faces a felony charge following an investigation into a larceny in the Town of Dunkirk. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office reports that its Criminal Investigation Division received a referral from another county agency last September. An investigation, with assistance from the Chautauqua County District Attorney's Office, found that 45-year-old Meaghan Cappa allegedly stole more than $50,000 from someone between April 2023 and August 2024. Cappa turned herself in Thursday at the Chautauqua County Jail, where she was arraigned on a charge of 2nd-degree grand larceny. She was then released.
