Plans for New Hospital Progressing on Schedule, According to Ferguson

Plans are continuing to move forward towards construction of the new Brooks Memorial Hospital in the Village of Fredonia, and everything appears to be on schedule at this point. That's the word from Mayor Mike Ferguson, who gave an update on WDOE's "Viewpoint" program on Monday. Ferguson says new water and drainage pipes have been installed, while a white barn on the property on East Main Street was taken down last week. He says officials with Brooks-TLC are now planning to present updated drawings to the Fredonia Planning Board...

Meanwhile, a date for an official groundbreaking ceremony is still to be determined. According to Ferguson, that will be decided by Kaleida Health and Governor Kathy Hochul's Office. Hochul traveled to Fredonia last June to announce the release of $74 million in funding for the new hospital.
