The City of Dunkirk will receive a state grant for several electric vehicle charging ports. On Monday, Governor Kathy Hochul announced $53,400 for the city through New York's Municipal Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Grants program that the city will use to install a total of 14 Level 2 charging ports. The Municipal Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Infrastructure Grant program is administered by the State DEC and prioritizes clean transportation investments in communities most affected by pollution and climate change. The funding for the city is part of $4.85 million awarded statewide to support installing EV chargers.
