The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office Unsolved Crimes Unit is investigating a murder that occurred in the Town of Sheridan nearly 35 years ago. Sheriff Jim Quattrone says investigators are looking into different leads in the case of Judith Lynn McElheney, a 27-year-old mother from Buffalo who was found by a passing motorist on Route 5, three miles west of the Silver Creek village line. McElheney is described as 5'0" and slim with shoulder-length brown hair and gray eyes. She had the tattoo of a bird above a red heart with a ribbon with the name "Judy" on her arm.
