National Walleye Tour Returning to Dunkirk This Summer

One of the most prestigious fishing tournaments in the country is returning to Chautauqua County this summer. The National Walleye Tour (NWT) is scheduled to make a stop in Dunkirk in early August as part of the city's lineup of summer events. NWT was previously held in Dunkirk in 2022 for that year's championship round. Mekus says the reason this year's event will be a big one for the city is because the tour's stop will be a qualifying round before the final, and as a result, it will have triple the number of participants...

Mekus add that local anglers will also be invited to sign up and participate.
