With the federal REAL ID compliance deadline just over a month away, Chautauqua County officials are urging residents to visit their local DMV office to upgrade to a REAL ID or Enhanced Driver License (EDL). Special Saturday hours will be held at the Mayville and Jamestown DMV offices to better accommodate the anticipated increase in foot traffic. The Mayville DMV office will be open on April 5th and May 3rd, while the Jamestown office will be open on April 12th. The special hours for all three days will be 8:30-11:30 AM. All travelers flying within the United States or entering secure federal facilities will be required to present a REAL ID-compliant form of identification, starting May 7th.
