
An eight-month, multi-agency investigation into narcotics activity that spread from the City of Dunkirk to the Village of Fredonia ended with four arrests on Tuesday. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office reports that Dunkirk Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Altarique Mitchell of Rochester on Route 60 in the Town of Dunkirk. A short time later, Fredonia Police, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, Dunkirk Police and Jamestown Police executed a search warrant at 52 Maple Avenue in Fredonia. 33-year-old Arriell Catalano of Fredonia, 31-year-old Tynell Tolbert of Buffalo and 27-year-old Rojonique Walker of Buffalo were located inside the residence. As a result of both the traffic stop and the search warrant, investigators seized 280.27 grams of methamphetamine, 53.42 grams of crack cocaine, 7.53 grams of powder cocaine, 35 dosage units of suboxone, a quantity of hydrocodone pills, scales and packaging material, and $5,719 in cash. All four suspects were charged with 2nd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and 2nd-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. The Sheriff's Office adds that Walker also had arrest warrants out of Cheektowaga and Depew. All four suspects were transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
