A Jamestown man was taken into custody on several charges following an investigation into a report of a suspicious male pushing a motorcycle between houses and through backyards on the city's north side Wednesday morning. Jamestown Police were called to the scene just after 6:45 AM and located 42-year-old Bobby Mount, who was allegedly pushing the motorcycle on Stowe Street. Officers determined that the motorcycle had been stolen from a hotel in the Town of Ellicott. While Mount was being arrested, officers discovered that he was allegedly in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, fentanyl, drug packaging materials, and a dagger-type weapon. Mount is being held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment on charges of 4th-degree criminal possession of stolen property, 3rd- and 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, 2nd-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, and 3rd-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Additional charges from the Town of Ellicott are expected.
