The holiday season got into full swing in Jamestown on Saturday. Approximately 100 units stepped off from the West 3rd Street bridge and marched to City Hall during the city's annual holiday parade. The theme of the parade was "Gingerbread and Candy Land." There was also a huge fireworks display following the parade. The day started with the annual Jingle and Mingle Winter Festival downtown on the plaza with horse-and-carriage rides, kids' activities, and a photo booth. The group Party McFly played tunes from mid-afternoon until the time for the tree lighting. City Parks Manager Dan Stone says the tree will remain up on Tracy Plaza until shortly after the new year begins.
