Firefighters from multiple departments were called to a report of a large garbage fire at the Chautauqua County Landfill on Sunday. The initial call for the fire in the Town of Ellery came in shortly after 7:45 AM. Crews from Sinclairville, Cassadaga, Gerry, Ellery Center, Fluvanna and Stockton responded to the scene, along with Chautauqua County Emergency Services. No exact cause was determined.
