Two Jamestown residents were taken into custody as the result of a Friday morning drug raid at an address on the city's west side. Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant by simultaneously conducting a traffic stop and entering 38 Whitley Avenue at about 9:30 AM, with assistance from the Jamestown Police SWAT Team. 48-year-old Santos Santiago and 51-year-old Anabell Santiago were detained during the stop, and SWAT Team members located two children inside the residence. Detectives searched the residence and individuals and located 109.3 grams of fentanyl, 11.3 grams of crack cocaine, digital scales used for weighing drugs, packaging material used for distributing
the drugs, $30,369 in cash believed to be profits from selling the drugs, and two handguns -- one of which was reported stolen. Police say Anabell was additionally found to be in possession of a switchblade knife and a quantity of oxycodone pills.
Santos is charged with one count of 2nd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of 2nd-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, and one count of 4th-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Meanwhile, Anabell faces one count of 2nd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of 2nd-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, two counts of 2nd-degree criminal possession of a weapon, one count of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of 4th-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Both Santiagos were transported to the Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment.
Jamestown Police were assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, Dunkirk Police, Chautauqua County Emergency Services Tac Meds and the Jamestown Fire Department.
