Resource Fair to Help County Youth in Transition to Adulthood

A resource fair that aims to support young adults as they transition into adulthood is scheduled for Wednesday in Jamestown. The Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene and Social Services is collaborating with Gustavus Adolphus (GA) Family Services, YWCA Jamestown and Court Appointment Special Advocates (CASA) on the "Real" Game of Life Resource Fair at GA Family Services from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Geared towards Chautauqua County youth aged 14-21, this free event invites all teens and young adults living in Chautauqua County to connect with local organizations offering support in various aspects of adult life, including employment, education, housing, finance, transportation, health care and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with representatives from area agencies, participate in live life-skill demonstrations, and win exciting prize baskets. By engaging with vendors, attendees will earn raffle tickets for a chance to win prize baskets and an e-bike package valued at over $1,200.

Transportation assistance is available for attendees through CHQ Transit. Interested individuals can click here to find more information on bus schedules and reduced student rates.
