A power outage has impacted hundreds of residents in the City of Dunkirk's Second Ward. National Grid reported 459 customers without power in that area as of 12:55 PM Friday, with an estimated restoration time of 2:00 PM. There is no word on what triggered the outage. Meanwhile, the Dunkirk City School District has announced that it is implementing its emergency "go-home" procedure at the Secondary School only. National Grid's outage map has the Secondary School in the area of the outage.
