A local veteran who has collected military gear his entire life is taking advantage of Veterans Day to display some of his collection in a new, temporary exhibit at the Dunkirk Historical Museum. Matthew Sutton joined the U.S. Army in 1998 and served 21 years there before returning to the Dunkirk-Fredonia area. Matthew Sutton: ties with Dunkirk's history
Sutton, who is now a volunteer at the museum, says everything in the display is original with the exception of one pair of shoes and replica weapons. The exhibit will be available through the end of November.
