The Fredonia's Central School District's first therapy dog is on the job. The owner of Yost, 6th grade teacher Tim Wright, says the dog was rescued as a puppy from a shelter in Texas in fall of 2020 by Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue in Westfield. He and his family adopted the dog in January 2021. Wright says Yost decided to go through with his Therapy Dog Certification after the Board of Education approved a policy allowing the use of therapy dogs...

Wright-Therapy dogs help following the COVID years
Yost went through extensive training before making his way into the classroom, receiving a basic obedience certificate. The mixed breed dog also passed his American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test and recently completed all the requirements for his Therapy Dog Certification. Wright and Yost were guest's on WDOE's "Viewpoint" program on Thursday.
