Westfield Elementary School will be going to full remote learning from Thursday, November 19th through Tuesday, November 24th due to a positive COVID-19 case. Westfield Academy and Central School Superintendent Michael Cipolla announced Wednesday afternoon that the district was notified of an elementary school employee who tested positive. Cipolla says the employee was last in school on Friday, November 13th. The district is working closely with the Chautauqua County Health Department to complete contact tracing. Any close contacts will be notified, and appropriate steps will be taken. Cipolla says the district intends to resume in-person learning for the elementary school on Monday, November 30th.
