Dunkirk city firefighters responded to a boat fire at the Chadwick Bay Marina Thursday evening. Crews were called out shortly after 6 pm and found smoke coming from a large covered boat located out of the water, in the yard. Firefighters used an aerial ladder to gain access to the boat and extinguished the fire using a hose line and hand tools. The fire was confined to the cabin area. Crews were on scene for about an hour and a half. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
