The Lakeshore Humane Society will hold its Father's Day Weekend drive-thru/pick-up Weidner's Chicken Barbecue on Saturday, June 14 from 12 noon to 3 PM at the Lakeshore Humane Society Adoption Center, 431 E. Chestnut Street in Dunkirk. In addition, there will be a bake sale and basket raffle. The dinner includes a half chicken, buttered potatoes, cole slaw, and roll & butter. Tickets are $15. Please purchase your pre-sale tickets by June 5 online at lakeshorehumanesociety.org (see the LHS homepage) or in-person at LHS Open Adoption Hours, Wednesdays from 6 to 8 PM and Saturdays from noon to 3 PM. Pre-sale ticket purchase is strongly encouraged; a limited number of dinners might be available the day of the event, but cannot be assured.) On this day before Father's Day, there will also be a bake sale where everyone can purchase delicious Father's Day treats and a fabulous basket raffle. The Cat's Meow Boutique in the Adoption Center will be open for the purchase of gift items! All proceeds benefit the efforts of the Lakeshore Humane Society to provide safe, loving homes for dogs and cats in need. (Saturday LHS Open Adoption Hours will be held as usual.)
