Jamestown Police have charged three people with criminal contempt after investigating domestic disputes in the city this past week.
On Tuesday, officers responded to an address on the city's south side shortly before 12:15 AM and found that 25-year-old Dominique Barr alleged violated a stay-away order of protection. Police say Barr left before officers arrived, but she was located a short distance away. She tried to walk away from officers and also allegedly punched one in the chest. Barr was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail on a felony count of 1st-degree criminal contempt, as well as 2nd-degree obstruction.
On Wednesday, officers pulled over a vehicle on the city's west side for a traffic infraction shortly after 1:30 PM and discovered that 41-year-old Carlton Allen was an occupant in the vehicle with a female who had a stay-away order of protection against him. Allen was charged with 2nd-degree criminal contempt and transported to the Jamestown City Jail to be held pending arraignment.
On Saturday, officers were called to a report of a fight at an address on the city's south side shortly after 3:15 AM. On arrival, they learned that the incident was a domestic dispute, and that 30-year-old Trey Buchanan allegedly violated a duly served order of protection to stay away from the victim. Buchanan was placed into custody and held pending arraignment on a charge of 2nd-degree criminal contempt.
