Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies took a Jamestown man into custody Saturday afternoon for an alleged order of protection violation in the Town of Stockton. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on County Route 380 near Munger Road at about 3:45 PM and identified the driver as 35-year-old Peter McTaggart, Jr., who was allegedly discovered to be in violation of a duly served court order out of the City of Jamestown. McTaggart was charged with 2nd-degree criminal contempt and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
