A recent traffic stop in the Town of Ellicott led to the arrest of a Jamestown man on several charges. Ellicott Town Police pulled over a vehicle after observing infraction during the morning of August 8th. Officers say the driver, 49-year-old Jose Nickerson, was under the influence of alcohol and drugs. They add that he had a revoked driver's license due to a prior DWI conviction. Nickerson was charged with DWI, driving while ability impaired by alcohol and drugs, 1st-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation, uninspected motor vehicle, and stopping/parking on a highway. He was released with traffic tickets and will appear in Ellicott Town Court at a later date.
