The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office has taken a Kennedy man into custody after he allegedly violated an active order of protection in the Village of Brocton. Sheriff's deputies and State Police responded to an address in the village shortly after 12:45 PM Sunday. After an investigation, 34-year-old Major Stearns was charged with 2nd-degree criminal contempt. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
